Now, onto the nitty-gritty. Let's talk about something that every blogger wants more of - readers. Ah, the elusive, mysterious creature 🦄 that can make or break our success. We all dream of reaching millions of visitors each month, but how do we get there? I'm sure you've heard the same old advice a million times - create quality content, share on social media, optimize for SEO, etc. But what if you're doing all that and still not seeing the results you want? It can be frustrating, to say the least.

And speaking of frustration, let me tell you about a recent discovery that left me feeling like a fish out of water 🐠. I found out that my page wasn't even indexed on Google! 😱 Yep, you heard it right. Me, a blogger, was practically invisible to the almighty Google search engine. It was like a slap in the face. I mean, come on, Google, throw me a bone here! As if it wasn't hard enough to attract readers already, now I had to deal with this setback.

But you know what? I'm not one to give up easily 💪. I rolled up my sleeves and got to work. And boy, did I learn a thing or two. So, my fellow bloggers, let's dive right into this topic together and learn from my mistakes. Are you ready? Let's do this! 🤘

Let's Get Indexed, Blogger Buddies: Tips and Tricks for Google Search Console

Are you tired of feeling left in the dark by other bloggers who don't share their secrets to success? Well, fear not, because I am here to shed some light on a topic that's been bugging me for a while - getting your page indexed on Google. And let me tell you, I won't be holding anything back. 💪

Ready to get your blog on the Google map? 🗺️ It's time to bust out your secret weapon: Google Search Console! 🔍 If you haven't already signed up, don't fret, It's super easy, and I'll drop a link here so you can get started right away. Once you're in, enter your website URL and head over to URL Inspection. This is where you'll find out whether your page is indexed or not. And if it's not, no worries! Just click on the Request Indexing button and you'll be on your way to success! 🚀

But that's not all! If you want to really optimize your blog for search engines, you'll want to add a sitemap. Now, by default, your blogger blog will have a sitemap. And that's where Google Search Console comes in again!

1. Log in to Google Search Console 🔑
2. In the sidebar select your website,
3. Click on Sitemaps 🗺️: The ‘Sitemaps’ menu is under the ‘Index’ section. If you do not see ‘Sitemaps’, click on ‘Index’ to expand the section.
4. Enter ‘sitemap.xml in the ‘Add a new sitemap’ field to complete the sitemap URL for default sitemap of blogger

👍 I thought it was time to tackle the power of traffic sources. From organic search to social media to referral traffic, there's a whole world of ways people can find your blog. 🌎 This comes Acquisition on 2nd Navigation Pane, click Traffic Acquisition. 🚀

These are 4 of them:

• Organic Search 🔍: Traffic that comes from search engines like Google, Bing, or Yahoo.
• Paid Search 💰: Traffic that comes from paid search ads on search engines like Google AdWords.
• Organic Social 📱: Traffic that comes from social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, or Instagram.
• Referral Traffic 🔗: Traffic that comes from other websites that link to your website.

I was surprised 😲 to discover that some of my posts were getting a lot of views while others were not being read as much. This was a wake-up call for me to start updating some of my older posts and making them more SEO-friendly.🤔

And, let me tell you, when I saw that most of my traffic was coming from social media, I was thrilled 🎉! All that hard work promoting my blog on Facebook paid off! But, I was also disappointed to see that my organic search traffic wasn't as high as I hoped 😔 – but it makes sense now. Fingers crossed 🤞 that it would increase from now.

So, I'm back to the drawing board, working on my SEO and keyword game. But, I'm also on the lookout for fellow bloggers in my niche for collaborations 🤝.
