And there, dressed in a waistcoat and carrying a pocket watch was a link to "More on Google Analytics." 🤔 Curiouser and curiouser, you clicked it! And you fell into a new dimension of insights and knowledge.

Just like Alice, you'll need to shrink down to fit through a small door. But fear not, all you need is a Google account and a swig of the "Drink Me" potion (figuratively, of course) 🍷. Once you've passed through the portal, prepare to be amazed by the wonders of Google Analytics. You'll feel like you have your very own Cheshire Cat guide 🐈 to show you the way!     A Tea Party for Your Data: Three Simple Steps to Create Your Google Analytics Account

After passing through the door and logging in, it's time to create your Google Analytics account. We'll break it down into three easy-to-follow steps, so you don't get lost in the Tulgey Wood 🌳 of analytics confusion.

        Step 1: Choose your Account Name

Account Name is like the name of your Parent Company or your own "Author" Name - it's your choice. Choose wisely and take a step closer to Mad Hatter's Tea Party. 🎉

        Step 2: Select the Path to your Property

There are two paths to take: the classic Universal Analytics (UA) or the newer and curiouser Google Analytics 4 (GA4). GA4 is recommended for beginners. To create a UA Property, you'll need to click on "Advanced options." Just be careful not to lose your way! 🗺️
Beware: UA will vanish like the Cheshire Cat after July 1, 2023.

        Step 3: Enter Basic Business Information

Select your business industry from the drop-down menu. Next, let's talk about the size of your business. If it's just you, then congratulations, you are the 👑 queen of your own kingdom! No need to answer to anyone else - you can make all the decisions yourself.

Finally, it's time to indulge in some magical options, straight from the Mad Hatter's Tea Party! Will you sip on the "Pageviews" tea  to measure your website's popularity, or nibble on the "Behavior" biscuit 🍪 to track your visitors' journey? The choice is yours, dear adventurer. Just be sure to save some room for the curiouser and curiouser analytics that await you beyond the rabbit hole!

Once you've made your selections, click on the "Create" button and hold on to your teacups, because it's your "Merry Unbirthday" 🎂. Remember, creating an account is just the beginning. You won't be tracking any data until you add a tracking ID, so don't be late ⏰ for this important date! Stay on top of your tracking game and make your way to success in Wonderland.

Off with Their Tags! Adding Your GA Tag to Blogger, Just Like the Queen of Hearts

Gather around, curious adventurers! 🧭We've reached the final step of setting up your Google Analytics account, and it's time to “off with your heads!” 😱 Just Kidding, it's time for the all-important tag. Don't worry, it's not as daunting as facing the Queen of Hearts. In fact, it's as simple as painting the roses red.🌹

For first-time access, you'll need to set up your data stream (found under property). Think of it as the gatekeeper of all the data you collect from your site. If you have multiple streams, add them all here - we don't discriminate in this kingdom! 🏰

Select the platform which is Web for your blog, enter the website URL, and click on "create stream." Then, installation instructions will pop up. You can scan through and learn more about your specific platform, but if you're with Blogger, stick with me and off we go! 🕵️‍♀️

All you have to do is copy the Measurement ID and head over to your trusty Blogger platform. You'll find the Google Analytics Measurement ID in the basic section. Paste it in and voila, you're done!👏 Now all that's left to do is wait for the tag to do its magic. 🔮
